Kenny on an upcoming episode of A Matter of Doubt

For the last couple of months, I have been listening to a really great podcast called A Matter of Doubt. The hosts of the podcast, Steve and Brian, discuss many topics relating to religion and belief and often do so from a philisophical viewpoint (as opposed to a scientific or historical viewpoint). One of the things I really dig about their podcast is that they feature Deconversion stories from their guests. I never really knew how much I enjoyed hearing those stories until listening to their podcast! It’s intriguing to hear other stories because they are so similar to my experience and at the same time so different.

A while back, one of the hosts started receiving regular visitors from a Jehovah’s Witness. The Jehovah’s Witness who kept coming to his door rarely had answers that were satisfactory so they put out a call to their listeners to see if any ex-Jehovah’s Witnesses were around and would be willing to come on and talk a bit. So, I raised my hand!

They were gracious enough to have me on and we talked a lot about my deconversion and a little bit about JWs and such. It was great fun and I hope I didn’t sound like an idiot! 🙂 It should be available in the near future and I’ll post again when the episode is released.

Until then, feel free to listen to one of their other episodes. You can listen directly on their website, or you can download episodes for free via iTunes and a couple of other ways. Check them out!

For a good taste of their style, here is their episode with Chris Stedman, the author of How an Atheist Found Common Ground with the Religious.
